Meeting with the Observation Mission of the OSCE/ODIHR
The CEC Chairperson met with the representatives of the observation mission of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR).
At the meeting Tamar Zhvania delivered information about the preparation process for the October 21, Municipal Elections. The Chairperson put emphasis on various election-related issues, including registered election subjects, trainings and innovative services the Election Administration delivers to electoral stakeholders and voters. Meeting participants also discussed the pre-election environment.
Today, OSCE/ODIHR launched their observation mission in Georgia. Long-term observation (LTO) mission will monitor the pre-election period as well as the process of elections. 22 observers from various countries are represented in LTO mission and the polling process will be monitored by 350 short-term observers.
