On April 28 Parliamentary By-elections of Georgia will be held
Tomorrow, at №54 majoritarian election district will be held Parliamentary By-elections of Georgia. According to the statement of Ana Mikeladze, spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia delivered at the news briefing held today, By-elections of October 8, 2016 Parliamentary Elections of Georgia will take place at N54 majoritarian election district that includes operation areas of Vani and Khoni municipalities. The Elections will be held at 60 polling stations where 48 123 voters are registered in total.
Six candidates are registered for Parliamentary By-elections of Georgia. Five candidates are nominated by political unions and one by an initiative group.
As Ana Mikeladze noted, each polling stations is supplied with all the necessary equipment and documentation and tomorrow, at 08:00 morning, all the election precincts will be ready to serve the voter. On E-day, voters will receive only one ballot paper to elect a majoritarian candidate of the parliament.
Two magnifying lenses will be available to voters with visual impairments, a special tactile ballot guide to blind voters, the poster showcasing voting procedures to deaf voters and voters with hearing impairments, adapted polling stations with special ballot booths to voters using a wheelchair.
“It should be noted, that 721 observers from 26 local observer organizations and 12 observers from three international organizations will observe April 28 By-Elections. 504 media representatives from 19 media outlets will cover the elections. Election subjects participating in the April 28 Elections registered 461 representatives authorized to observe the elections”, - noted Ana Mikeladze.
“At 20:00, after the closure of the polling stations, the counting process will begin, and the summary protocols will be gradually uploaded on the special website www.results.cec.gov.ge by the CEC.

In addition, the Election Administration calls on the voters to participate in the elections.
