Training in legal writing and administrative proceedings related to election disputes
Training in legal writing and administrative proceedings related to election disputes is being held for chairs of District Election Commissions (DEC) at the Central Election Commission (CEC). The CEC Deputy Chairperson and the CEC Secretary opened the training course and briefed participants on the training course. Giorgi Sharabidze and Giorgi Javakhishvili stressed the importance of the learning modules.
The training course includes the issues such as administrative proceedings, preparation of decision on administrative offences, consideration of complaints and decision-making. Training programme contains practical assignments as well as modules on the management of emotions, difficult conversations, and conflict situations.
Employees of the CEC Legal Department, trainers of the CEC Training Centre and invited experts, including Maia Jorjikia, David Gonghadze, and Tariel Sikharulidze are running the training course.
Training course for 10 groups (230 participants) will be held in stages. Groups are being composed of DEC chairs, DEC deputies, secretaries as well as the CEC regional coordinators.
Training courses are being held by the engagement and with the financial support of International Foundation of Electoral Systems (IFES). Training courses started on June 4 and will end on June 19.
